RN - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Location

• Sanford, Florida

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Typical shifts: 4-10 or 5-8 hour day shifts with late stays on call rotation

Unit Overview

• Cath/EP Lab with 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, and a holding area
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 2:1
• Equipment includes GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, Penumbra
• Documentation systems: Mac Lab and Medi Tech
• Floating may include holding area, EP lab, or other areas within scope of practice

Procedures Performed

• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Watchman device implantation
• PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
• Peripheral interventions
• Impella device management
• Balloon pump management

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided; must adhere to hospital uniform dress code
• The unit is part of a Level II Trauma Center with a comprehensive cardiovascular program including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and diagnostic services
• The hospital offers 24/7 emergency care and specialized services such as orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, wound care, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and imaging services
