Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT)
Location
- Naples, Florida
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (exact shift times and days vary based on patient volume)
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- May be required to float between campuses as needed
Job Description
- Prepare the operating room, including setting up the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
- Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
- Manage surgical equipment and maintain the sterile field and specimens
- Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects
- Must be comfortable working with robotic surgery systems, including da Vinci, and have experience in neurosurgery
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA or a CAAHEP-accredited or programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with robotic surgery systems, including da Vinci and computer-assisted surgery
- Neurosurgery experience
