Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT)

Location

  • Naples, Florida

Employment Type

  • Travel assignment

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (exact shift times and days vary based on patient volume)
  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • May be required to float between campuses as needed

Job Description

  • Prepare the operating room, including setting up the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
  • Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
  • Manage surgical equipment and maintain the sterile field and specimens
  • Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects
  • Must be comfortable working with robotic surgery systems, including da Vinci, and have experience in neurosurgery

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA or a CAAHEP-accredited or programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with robotic surgery systems, including da Vinci and computer-assisted surgery
  • Neurosurgery experience
