Job Opportunity: CST/ORT

Location

  • Portland, Maine

Position Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Specialty

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Operating Room (ORT)
  • Focus on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures
  • Level One Trauma Center environment

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years as a Level 1 trained CST
  • At least 2 years of experience in the specialty

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current CST certification
  • Competency in:
    • Robotics (Davinci Xi)
    • PCNLs (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy)
    • Nephrectomies
    • Ureteral Reimplants
    • Hysterectomies
    • Cystectomies
    • Colpocleisis
    • Hysteroscopies
    • Ureteroscopies
  • Comfortable working with patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics

Work Schedule

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekend coverage: 1 in 4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
  • One overnight trauma call per week (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM); call schedule varies by specialty team

Unit Information

  • Operating Room with 26 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Equipment used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Epic

Preferred Skills (not required)

  • Experience with General Surgery, Orthopedic trauma and joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular procedures
