Shift Details
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
- Will work every other weekend
Patient Census
- Average daily census: 22 patients
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Pre/Post hemodialysis management
- Renal failure care
- Blood product administration
- Central line blood draws
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Non-invasive airway management
- Portable oxygen tank management
- Tracheostomy management
Clinical Skills & Experience Required
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response: Telemetry remote monitoring, use of Rapid Response Teams
- Gastrointestinal: Colostomy care, feeding tube care and management
- Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post hemodialysis management, renal failure care
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
- Medication administration: Heparin, insulin, PCA
- Neurological/Psychiatric: Spinal cord injuries
- Orthopedic trauma experience and surgical drain management
- Respiratory: CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, pre/post thoracic surgery, tracheostomy management
- Professional knowledge: Isolation precautions, wound care including Wound Vac
Additional Job Details
- Floating to other units within scope as needed
- Open to discussing block schedule requests with manager
- Locals accepted with no radius restrictions
- Ideally no more than 5 days of return-to-office (RTO) restrictions
- Guaranteed hours with some client call-off allowances

Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Primary source verification of licenses and certifications
- Competency exam required for clinical candidates
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs scheduled within 7 days of contract signing
- Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunizations or documented immunity required for: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30
- State-specific criminal and offender registry searches required within 30 days of start
- Badge photo required before start date
- Parking permit required (no cost)

- Two professional references required for direct travel and acute care clinical candidates
- Education verification required (official or unofficial transcripts accepted if pending)
