Shift Details

• Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
• Call required with a 30-minute response time; call coverage includes 2 CVOR Certified Surgical Technicians, a First Assistant, and 2 CVOR RNs on call daily, weekends, and holidays

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Must have CVOR certification
• Experience in general OR and trauma settings
• Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with at least 5 years of experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment

Background and Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening (agency to run for subcontractors)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Immunization or positive titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted; marijuana positive not disqualifying)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Confidentiality statement signed prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness test if applicable (not typically for this specialty)
• Compliance checklist to be completed by agency representative

This position requires a highly experienced CVOR Surgical Technician comfortable with heavy call responsibilities and prior travel assignments.
