Description
Registered Nurse (Oncology) - Travel Position
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
- Work on a Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a Trauma Level III designation
- 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- No call requirements
- Float to all inpatient areas
Unit & Patient Population
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Equipment used: Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
- Common diagnoses and treatments: Cancer, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), Pneumonia (PNA), General Surgery
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR (EPIC starting 5/1/26)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Minimum 3 years of Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BCLS or BLS certification
- Experience with Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, and Baxter IV Pumps
- Experience caring for patients with Cancer
