Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: Woonsocket, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Night (18:45 - 07:15)
Schedule: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
Job Description
- Float RN position covering Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Must have 2+ years of recent cardiac nursing experience, including care of cardiac cath patients and cardiac patients on PCU
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with at least 1 year within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience, including cardiac cath and post-cath care
- Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Onboarding Requirements
- Primary source verification of license and certifications within 30 days of start
- Completion of required exams with minimum 80% score:
- Basic Pharmacology Exam
- Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening
- Core Competencies Exam
- Specialty Exam
- Orientation packet completion including education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable)
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP)
- Valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
- Background check (national, within one year)
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC, within 60 days of start)
- Annual health and safety requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster or declination)
- MMR immunity proof (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B immunization record, immune titer, or declination
- TB test within one year of start date
- Varicella immunity proof (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap vaccination (declination not accepted)
- Annual respirator fit test
- Physical/health statement confirming clearance to work (within 60 days of start)
Additional Information
- Location requires night shift coverage every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
