Description
Sonographer (Echo) - Temp Position
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
- Perform cardiovascular and vascular sonography with a full vascular skill set including renal, pre-op, pain mapping, and other detailed vascular procedures.
- Expected to complete approximately 7-8 scans per day.
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular and vascular sonographer experience.
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed.
- Active Iowa sonography license at time of submission.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications.
- Certification from ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills checklist specific to cardiovascular and vascular sonography discipline.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
Orientation
- Scheduled orientation dates: May 26–27 and June 8–9.
Additional Information
- Night shift differential: 16 hours.
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
- Call back and on-call pay available.
- Charge/precept pay available.
Note: This position requires a cardiovascular sonographer with comprehensive vascular experience and the ability to perform a wide range of vascular sonography procedures.
