Sonographer (Echo) - Temp Position

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
• Perform cardiovascular and vascular sonography with a full vascular skill set including renal, pre-op, pain mapping, and other detailed vascular procedures.
• Expected to complete approximately 7-8 scans per day.
• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular and vascular sonographer experience.
• At least 1 prior travel contract completed.
• Active Iowa sonography license at time of submission.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications.
• Certification from ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to cardiovascular and vascular sonography discipline.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Orientation

• Scheduled orientation dates: May 26–27 and June 8–9.

Additional Information

• Night shift differential: 16 hours.
• Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Call back and on-call pay available.
• Charge/precept pay available.

Note: This position requires a cardiovascular sonographer with comprehensive vascular experience and the ability to perform a wide range of vascular sonography procedures.
