Registered Nurse (RN) - Float (Nights)

Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio
Employment Type: Temporary

Job Description

• Provide direct and indirect patient care.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers regarding changes in patient clinical condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Perform general nursing duties and assume responsibility for unit patient populations.
• Complete thorough patient assessments.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to interact efficiently with all customers.
• Work independently and delegate appropriately.
• Function calmly and confidently during unexpected crises.
• Adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to other areas as assigned, and accept low census as needed.
• Work required weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to all staffing and personnel policies.
• Maintain all required licensures and certifications current.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Emergency Department, ICU, and Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (proof required).

Additional Information

• Work week runs Sunday through Saturday.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
• No non-billable hours.

Note: This position requires flexibility to float to different units and work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
