Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

  • Tyler, Texas

  • Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
  • Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Manage psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.
  • Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
  • Demonstrate leadership consistent with professional nursing competencies.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Work Environment

  • Clinical setting focused on cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
