Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel contract in a hospital setting. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging studies including stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures.
Work Schedule
- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional weekends and holidays required
- Limited call/standby required
Department & Equipment
- Department: Diagnostic Imaging / Radiology - Nuclear Medicine
- Number of scanners/rooms: 3
- Equipment used: GE, Phillips
- EMR/PACS systems: EPIC, McKesson PACS, CVPACS
- Radiologist available in-house
- Use of ARNPs for cardiology studies
- IV starts required
- No floating or coverage of other areas
Caseload
- Average of 12 scans/studies per day
Orientation
- 1 week department-specific orientation
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- NMTCB-NCT or ARRT (N) certification
- BLS certification
Additional Information
- Scrubs are not provided; any professional color is acceptable
- The position involves working in a hospital diagnostic imaging environment with a focus on nuclear medicine procedures
