Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location

Nashville, Tennessee
Unit: 4th Floor, 34-bed medical-surgical unit
Patient ratio: 6:1
Documentation system: Meditech

Employment Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Floating: May float to other departments based on need

Unit Environment

Unit secretary available during day shift
Patient care technicians (PCTs) available on all shifts
Level 1 trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Additional Information

Dress code: Navy scrubs
Advanced skills or additional certifications not specified
Unit policies follow hospital-specific guidelines
Opportunity to work with experienced staff and established protocols
