Description
Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse
Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, Thursday through Monday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Patient Population: Geriatric patients
- Expected Daily Visit Volume: Approximately 6 visits per day
- Call Requirement: May be asked to sign up for on-call as needed
- Weekend Requirement: Possible but generally contractors work Monday through Friday
- Local candidates are acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in a Home Care setting
- Experience with OASIS documentation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, and education verification (if requested)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
- NURSYS verification required for RN license
- Medication and competency exams as applicable
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal influenza vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific form
- N95 fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually (can be done onsite)
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Auto insurance documentation required
References and Evaluations
- Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
- Internal evaluations required if previously worked over 2 years
- Complete application and resume required
- Annual skills checklist update required for applicable units

- Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
- This position involves home care nursing with a focus on geriatric patients
- Contractors may be asked to participate in on-call coverage as needed
