Description
Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Burbank, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Acute Care Hospital setting with 392 staffed beds
- Floating required between outpatient center and hospital units
- No on-call duties
- Locals and first-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification
Certifications & Competencies
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (verify with clinical tracks)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blindness testing may be required on a unit-by-unit basis
- Competency exams required as applicable by specialty
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates (except Radiation Therapists at this location)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- TDAP (within 10 years, declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months, instant tests acceptable with attestation (exceptions for Per Diem candidates)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
Additional Requirements
- Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Completion of required WorkRamp training modules prior to start and annually thereafter, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules based on assignment
- Regional and facility-specific modules as applicable
- Epic training transcripts required for some regions (verify if applicable)
