Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 07:00)
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Weekend and call hours as required by the facility
• Float requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with adult patients
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required (mandatory November 1 - April 1; declinations not accepted)

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Experience with blood gas draw, processing (GEM), and interpretation

Unit and Patient Population

• Respiratory department within a large hospital licensed for 767 beds
• Patient care includes adult critical care, high-volume emergency department with trauma cases
• Patient types: respiratory patients across hospital areas including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, neuro, and trauma units
• Pediatric patients stabilized in ED and transferred to another facility

Equipment and Technology

• Avea ventilators, LTV transport ventilators
• V60 BiPAP with Bellavista coming soon
• Vapotherm and Airvo devices for high flow oxygen therapy
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Strong, confident therapist with good time management
• Willingness to assist coworkers as time allows

Dress Code

• Black scrubs required (facility standard)
