Job Summary
- Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
- Provides specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
- Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and outreach clinics.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
- Take call as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
Shift Details
- Must be willing to take call.
Experience Requirements
- No specific years of experience stated beyond entry-level; must be able to achieve initial competencies under supervision.
Licensure
- Must hold appropriate licensure for Interventional Technologist or equivalent credentialing as required by the specialty and state regulations.
