    Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

    Location: Eureka, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Facility Overview

    • Acute Care Hospital
    • Total Staffed Beds: 150
    • Charting System: Epic
    • Parking: Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation

    Required Certifications & Licenses

    • California State License (CPDH Certificate required for Radiologic Technologists)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
    • ARRT and ARRT Advanced certifications
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (verify per clinical track)
    • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM, IV Certification, NIH Stroke, CPI, MAB) as applicable per clinical track and specialty
    • NURSYS verification required for RNs (if applicable)

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • ARRT certification
    • ARRT Advanced certification

    Background & Compliance Requirements

    • Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
    • Education Verification required for all candidates
    • Drug Screen: 9 Panel within 12 months of start; instant acceptable with attestation (no THC/Marijuana)
    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and Health Documents:
      • TDAP within 10 years (declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
      • Flu vaccine required during flu season (declination accepted)
      • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow masking policies
    • Respirator Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
    • Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually

    Competencies & Training

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
    • Competency Exams required per specialty
    • EFM training required for Labor & Delivery RNs only (not applicable here)
    • Color Blind Testing if specifically requested
    • Annual Regulatory and Specialty-Specific Workramp Modules required
    • Epic training modules required (facility-specific)

    Documentation & Other Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
    • Social Security Card (as applicable for I9)
    • E-Verify attestation required
    • Employment Application covering last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)
    • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required

    Additional Notes

    • Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
    • Free parking on first day
    • No on-call or floating required
    • Must comply with all state-specific background and licensing requirements for California
