Description

Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Weekend Requirement: No
On Call Requirement: No


Position Summary

Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients within the Echocardiography department.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Echo Technologist license in New Mexico
  • Echo Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARDMS or CCI certification or registry eligible
  • New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or completion of a two-year allied health education program related to patient care (e.g., diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, or registered nurse)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and potential physical injury.
  • Must follow safety standards to limit exposure to infectious agents.
  • Physical demands include lifting patients and pushing heavy equipment, beds, and carts.

Supervision

Reports to the Director of Cardiovascular Services.
