Job Opportunity: Rehab Registered Nurse
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a 27-bed rehabilitation unit caring for patients with neuro, ortho, cardiac, cancer, and other complex medical conditions.
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), totaling 36 hours/week.
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Float responsibilities required.
- No call required.
- Every other weekend shift required.
- Experience with LVAD preferred but training will be provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including rehabilitation experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Compliance and Documentation
- Must complete a 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification.
- Employment application and resume required.
- Work history verification for the past 7 years required.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually.
- Photo for badge required.
- Driver’s license or state ID required.
- E-Verify and other federal background checks required upon hire.
- Education verification must confirm highest level of education.
- NURSYS verification required for RN license.
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance required.
Additional Information
- No call shifts.
- Floating between units may be required.
- Training provided for LVAD experience if needed.
- Candidates must be able to work every other weekend.
