Job Opportunity: Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), alternating 3 and 4 shifts per week including every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services in a clinical setting.
• Work within the Respiratory Therapy department.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Successful completion of a 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Must complete facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, dress code policy review, and clinical onboarding exam prior to start.
• Must complete a TB questionnaire prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) required within 30 days of start date.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually.
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within the last 12 months (instant acceptable).
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19; religious and medical exemptions require facility-specific forms and approval.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella

• Locals are accepted for this travel contract position.
