Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado

Unit Information

• Unit: Spine & Total Joint / Hip Preservation Center
• Number of ORs: 3 dedicated to Spine and Joint cases
• Number of Staff: Approximately 60
• Shift Coverage:

  • Day Shift (Mon-Fri): One Charge RN, one Unit Secretary, staffing 8-11 rooms daily
  • Night Call (Mon-Fri, 5 PM – 11 PM), no overnight required
• Patient Population: Spine fusions, ALIFS, all spine cases, and total joint replacements
• Equipment: Specialized for Spine and Joint procedures
• EMR System: Meditech / CPN

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Acute care experience
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• De-escalation skills in healthcare settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Joint scrub experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR

Work Environment & Expectations

• Flexible and strong communication skills with staff and providers are essential
• Patient care experience in surgical settings is important
• 30-minute response time required for on-call coverage
• Weekend coverage is call only (no regular weekend shifts)
