Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Spine & Total Joint / Hip Preservation Center
- Number of ORs: 3 dedicated to Spine and Joint cases
- Number of Staff: Approximately 60
- Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift (Mon-Fri): One Charge RN, one Unit Secretary, staffing 8-11 rooms daily
- Night Call (Mon-Fri, 5 PM – 11 PM), no overnight required
- Patient Population: Spine fusions, ALIFS, all spine cases, and total joint replacements
- Equipment: Specialized for Spine and Joint procedures
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Acute care experience
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- De-escalation skills in healthcare settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Joint scrub experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Work Environment & Expectations
- Flexible and strong communication skills with staff and providers are essential
- Patient care experience in surgical settings is important
- 30-minute response time required for on-call coverage
- Weekend coverage is call only (no regular weekend shifts)
