Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work in a Level III trauma center with 10 operating rooms.
- Support patients and surgeons with significant traumatic injuries.
- Handle a variety of surgical cases, from basic laparoscopic procedures to complex open abdominal and chest trauma surgeries.
- Patient population is diverse, including all ages.
- Use Cerner electronic health records (EHR).
- Patient ratio: 1:1.
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4x10 hour shifts per week with variable call (4-5 call shifts per month).
- Occasional weekend hours required.
- Call requirements apply.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience in trauma and OB/GYN surgical specialties.
