Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D)

Location

• Montevideo, Minnesota

Assignment Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per week: 36
• Scheduling options: Rotating shifts (approximately 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights) or straight nights only
• Weekend schedule: Every third or every other weekend on nights; no straight day shifts available

Unit and Patient Population

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) with float to Medical-Surgical (MS) as needed
• Patient types: >36 weeks gestation, pre-eclampsia, multiples
• Higher risk or <36 weeks gestation patients are transferred out
• Birth volume: Approximately 12-15 births per month (150 per year)

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years recent, applicable experience in Obstetrics (OB) and Labor & Delivery
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital (CAH) settings required
• Comfortable working in both L&D and Medical-Surgical units
• EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses

• Current Minnesota RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• Must meet Minnesota NetStudy fingerprinting requirements or be able to complete fingerprinting quickly

Equipment Familiarity

• Cardiac Monitors: Nihon Kohden
• Fetal Heart Monitors: Phillips

This position is ideal for an experienced L&D RN comfortable with both OB and MS care in a rural hospital setting with flexible night shift scheduling.
