Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, no block schedule)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide cardiopulmonary services as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Follow approved protocols and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
  • Airway maintenance
  • Ventilator management
  • Insertion of arterial lines
  • Intubations
  • Pulmonary function studies
  • Cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
  • Blood gas analysis
• Must be comfortable independently working with NICU patients. Pediatric experience is also acceptable.
• Charting system used: Medhost.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida.
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
