Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a Birth Center with 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
- Night shift position with 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Approximately 48 weekend hours per month
- No call requirements
- Float to Mother/Baby unit required
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Patient population: Adults
- Volume: ~110 deliveries per month
- Electronic Health Records used: Centricity and Paragon
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Certifications:
- Fetal Monitoring
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Experience with OR circulation
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (preferred but not required)
- Flexibility and good communication skills
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Facility is a teaching hospital with 111 beds, serving the Tri-Cities area
- Located in a region with recreational amenities including golf courses and parks
- Dress code: Scrubs in blue or blue/green colors
- Patient care involves labor and delivery diagnoses and treatments
- New Employee Orientation (NEO) dates available throughout the year

- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Submission requires a full packet including resume and self-assessment
- Volume and patient acuity require adherence to professional standards and flexibility in unit assignments
