Description
Sonographer - Ultrasound
Location: Ottawa, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Ultrasound (SEMC)
- Department: Ultrasound
- Shifts: Days (7:30 AM start), Afternoons (2:30 PM start), Midnights (11:00 PM start)
- Shift Length: 8 hours
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts, including 2 overnight 12-hour shifts and 1 day shift per week
- Call Rotation: Yes; every 4th weekend on call for 24 hours (7 AM Saturday to 7:30 AM Monday) and every 4th holiday on call
- Orientation: Approximately one week of department-specific training
Required Qualifications
- Certification: ARDMS (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT); vascular certification may be required depending on the job opening
- Licensure: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Experience with EMR/PACS systems, specifically EPIC
- Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Additional Information
- No IV insertion required (IV team handles this)
- Scrub color/dress code: Any color scrubs allowed; scrubs are not provided
- Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay deduction
- Orientation hours (12 hours) are non-billable and guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
