Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location

  • San Antonio, Texas

Employment Type

  • Travel assignment

Contract Length

  • 8 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • Rotating weekends and on-call duties

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Adult ICU, PCU, ER, and general floors
  • Number of Beds: 260
  • Staff per Shift: Minimum 1 team lead and 2 respiratory therapists on both day and night shifts
  • Patient Ratios: 30-45 points
  • Equipment Used: GE860 ventilators, Hamilton C1 ventilators, Philips V60 ventilators, EPOC devices
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
  • Dress Code: Black scrub pants and olive green scrub shirt

Typical Procedures

  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
  • Bronchoscopy assistance
  • Patient transport

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience working with adult patients
