Description
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Circulator
Location: Crestview, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide patient care in the Operating Room as a circulating nurse.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff.
- Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN guidelines, physician orders, and hospital policies.
- Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care.
- Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call duties.
- Weekly hours: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with surgical robotics
Additional Information
- Critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills are essential.
- Must adhere to surgical department and hospital standards.
