Description

Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units for a long-term assignment.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in Cardiology

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Fit test for respirator use.
  • COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or approved declination/exemption, except in CA and IL).
  • Influenza vaccine (optional but recommended).
  • MMR: Proof of two vaccinations or immunity via IgG titer.
  • Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start date.
  • Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity via IgG titer.
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year (for CT and certain other states).
  • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
  • Drug screen: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).

Professional and Compliance Requirements

  • Signed Code of Conduct form.
  • Completed I-9 verification.
  • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement signed.
  • Integrity and Audit Services form signed shortly before start.
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure form signed.
  • Criminal background check covering federal, nationwide, and county records for the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
  • Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED.
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days.
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days.
  • Joint Commission CORE exam completed within the last year.
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including aliases and all locations.
  • System Access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
  • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check completed within 30 days.

Additional Information

  • License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
  • All required documents and verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
  • Resume and two professional references required for submission.

This position does not specify a requirement for prior travel experience.
