Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location

• Muncie, Indiana

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (17:30 to 6:00)
• Maximum 5 consecutive workdays allowed
• Holiday shifts typically on a rotation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Recent Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Work setting experience: Adult ICU required
• Respiratory care skills:

  • Airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Ventilator management
  • Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Suctioning
  • Pulmonary toileting
  • Nebulizer treatments
  • BiPAP and CPAP
• Preferred experience (not required):

  • Trauma, teaching hospital, and emergency room settings
  • Bronchoscopy procedures
  • Documentation systems: Cerner
  • Equipment familiarity: Hamilton G5, Philips V60 ventilators

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy required)
• Completion of facility-specific compliance, confidentiality, and orientation documents prior to start
• HIPAA acknowledgment
• Employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps over 30 days (covering last 7 years)
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Must agree to shift schedule and all submission requirements

Notes

• First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted
• On-site fit testing available only with prior approval; PAPR use requires facility approval
• Declinations for required immunizations are not accepted, including for pregnancy
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
