Physical Therapist - Inpatient/Outpatient Rehab

Location: Glendive, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Position involves both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
  • No weekend shifts required.
  • Shift options include 8- or 10-hour shifts (40 hours guaranteed weekly), or 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts (36-48 hours guaranteed weekly).
  • Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Block scheduling accommodations available.
  • No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted.
  • Orientation requires no time off within first two weeks; time off limited to one week thereafter.

  • Level IV trauma designation.
  • 25 staffed beds.
  • Electronic charting system: Cerner.
  • Free parking available.

  • Scrub color: Any (refer to dress code policy).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Montana.
  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certifications & Compliance

  • Background checks: 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.
  • Primary source verification of state license required.
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (various acceptable testing methods). Annual TB testing required.
  • Required immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
  • COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions accepted.
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel within 1 year of start. Instant tests accepted.

Additional Facility Requirements

  • Review and sign confidentiality, security, emergency codes, and flu declination forms.
  • Review dress code and parking policies prior to start.
  • Agency contract certification form must be completed at least three business days before start.
  • Facility will conduct mask fit testing onsite on first day.
