Description
Nuclear Medicine Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Avon, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
- Shift: Day shift, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Parking: Free
- May float within scope to other facilities based on need
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- CNMT or NMTCB certification
- Experience with Cerner
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level III, education verification, and international search if applicable
- State license verification within 30 days before start
- Physical exam completed within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start with approved respirators (3M N95 models or Honeywell N95)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
- Tuberculosis test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start; if positive, chest x-ray required within 2 years
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap strongly recommended (not required)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
- Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology test as applicable
- Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years (must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or above)
- Current employment application with full work history and explanation of any gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually thereafter

- On-site fit testing available only as a last resort and with approval
