Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends
Unit Information
- Respiratory Care Department, Lower Level, North Tower
- 444 beds
- Staff includes 8 core and 5 PRN respiratory therapists
- Day shift: 3 RTs including supervisor; Night shift: 3 RTs
- Patient ratios vary
- Equipment used: Ventilators, Bipaps, Oxygen, Blood draw equipment, Vapotherm
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Job Description
- No blocked scheduling, no holidays off
- Typical procedures: ventilator operation, bronchoscopies, blood draws
- Standard respiratory therapy scope of practice
- Dress code: Pewter scrubs
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively under stressful conditions is essential
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Critical care experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, NBRC
