Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location

  • Houston, Texas

  • Travel assignment

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Rotating weekends

Unit Information

  • Respiratory Care Department, Lower Level, North Tower
  • 444 beds
  • Staff includes 8 core and 5 PRN respiratory therapists
  • Day shift: 3 RTs including supervisor; Night shift: 3 RTs
  • Patient ratios vary
  • Equipment used: Ventilators, Bipaps, Oxygen, Blood draw equipment, Vapotherm
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Job Description

  • No blocked scheduling, no holidays off
  • Typical procedures: ventilator operation, bronchoscopies, blood draws
  • Standard respiratory therapy scope of practice
  • Dress code: Pewter scrubs
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under stressful conditions is essential

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Critical care experience
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, NBRC

Additional Notes

  • Floating to other areas is not applicable for this role
