Description
Registered Nurse – Women’s Services
Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Circulate during Cesarean sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
- Provide post-delivery neonatal assessments in the C-section suite.
- Attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
- Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
- May float to other units as needed for support or sitter duties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wyoming.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP), with at least some experience within the last year.
- Experience in Women’s Services, including OB/GYN and Nursery care.
- Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Current STABLE certification.
- Current AWHONN certification.
