Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist (RRT)

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Position involves working in a Pre-Screen Unit where clinical fit will be assessed before final approval by management.
  • May care for COVID-19 patients.
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.
  • Weekends every other week (EOW).
  • No call or floating requirements.
  • Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Certifications & Competencies

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC) as applicable.
  • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke, etc.) as applicable per unit/job description.
  • Medication and Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required as applicable.
  • Pass/Fail testing acknowledgment required for RNs (not applicable here but noted for reference).

Background & Screening Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually.
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start; must be finalized prior to start.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment.
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days.
  • Education verification of highest degree required.
  • Two professional references within 3 years required.
  • Most recent resume or employment application required.
  • Annual skills checklist required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
  • Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted).
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) required; declination form also required if applicable.
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titer required; specific booster requirements apply if titers are negative or equivocal.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted).
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted.
  • Respiratory Safety clearance required within 1 year of start; renew annually.
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen required within 1 year (for agency use only, not required by facility).
  • Fit testing preferred but not required.

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge required.
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including:
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
    • Hepatitis B declination form (if applicable)
    • Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones).
  • New hire orientation required by end of first day.

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be aware this is a tobacco and fragrance-free environment.
  • Background and health documentation must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, or SSN).
  • Candidate may start with some background checks pending (fingerprints, child abuse clearance) but must have results finalized within 45 days or risk removal.
  • All certifications and documentation must be verified through primary source online verification.
