Description
Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location
- Sierra Vista, Arizona
- Acute Care Unit with 34 beds
- Patient population: geriatric, adults, occasional pediatrics (travelers not assigned pediatrics)
- Patient ratio: 6:1
- Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Position Details
- Employment type: Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
- Weekend work: Occasional weekends required, same shift hours
- Call requirements: Only when down staffed or placed on call
- Float requirements: May be asked to care for inpatient holds
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One year or more of total travel nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
