Radiology Technician - Night Shift

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work primarily on night shifts with a 7 on / 7 off rotation.
• Shift hours: either 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM or 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Average weekly hours: approximately 34 hours (30 hours one week, 40 hours the next).
• Department includes 14 scanners/rooms across hospital and clinic settings.
• Imaging types include Level 2 trauma, portables, OR cases, and a wide variety of studies.
• Float coverage between inpatient hospital and attached clinic areas.
• No in-house radiologist at night; night reading service available.
• No call or standby requirements.
• Weekend and holiday work required as part of the 7 on rotation.
• Scrubs: OR scrubs allowed on nights due to potential OR case involvement.

Required Qualifications

• Valid ARRT certification.
• Current Wisconsin Radiology Tech license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Must have prior hospital setting experience (clinic-only experience not sufficient).
• Must have C-arm experience and be able to function in the OR environment.
• First-time travel radiology techs are welcome (prior travel experience not required).

Additional Information

• Department uses Cerner EMR and Siemens PACS systems.
• Equipment includes FUJI imaging rooms and portable units.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support.
• No IV starts required.
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts depending on assigned shift.
• Clinicians who have previously worked at this facility must have a minimum 6-month gap since last employment.
• Timekeeping requires clocking in and out at the facility.

Work Environment

• Night shift with no direct radiology supervisor or lead tech on site.
• Overnight shifts staffed with at least two techs (no solo coverage).
• Opportunity to assist in OR cases during night shifts.
