Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Contract

Location: Twin Falls, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each)
Hours per Week: 40 hours


Job Description

  • Provide occupational therapy services in an inpatient adult setting, including acute inpatient and acute rehab units.
  • Patient caseload typically ranges from 10 to 12 patients per day.
  • Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic total joints, neurological conditions such as strokes, occasional brain injuries (excluding TBI), medical cases, and general ICU patients.
  • May be required to cover ICU depending on experience and unit needs.
  • Use EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Work under the supervision of an OT manager.
  • Collaborate with rehab aides (no COTAs on staff).
  • Orientation includes 2-3 days of unit/department-specific training.
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required on a rotating or as-needed basis.
  • Dress code: scrubs permitted but must not match colors of other departments.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of licensed occupational therapy experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings.
  • State OT licensure required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • First-time travel therapists are welcome.

Additional Information

  • Schedule is fixed; no self-scheduling.
  • Orientation typically requires working Monday through Friday with 8-hour days to complete onboarding.
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment.
