Description
Radiological Technologist - New York, Ithaca
Job Summary
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff with emphasis on quality and safe care.
- Perform routine radiography imaging.
- Assist with Fluoroscopy procedures including barium exams, arthrograms, myelograms, hysterosalpingograms, trauma cases, and various Operating Room procedures.
- Assist with Interventional Radiology (IR) cases such as nephrostomy tubes, drainage catheter placement, power port removals, tunneled catheters, pelvic venograms, and other procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety and sterile technique.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in New York
- Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Health and Safety Requirements
- MMR: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required; titers must show results for measles, mumps, and rubella individually.
- Varicella: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required.
- Hepatitis B: Positive antibody titer, 3 vaccine series, or specific declination form required.
- TB Test: Must have one of the following within the last 12 months:
- Two PPD skin tests (one within 12 months, one within 3 months), or
- One Quantiferon/Spot test within 12 months.
- For past positive TB tests, chest x-ray within 12 months may be required.
- Fit Test: Must be completed prior to start and within the last 12 months; annual requirement.
- Physical/Health Statement: Must be from within the last 12 months, include physician credentials, clinic location, phone number, height, weight, vitals, Snellen eye chart, and a statement of clearance with no restrictions.
- Tdap: Preferred but not required; must be within the last 10 years or have a declination form.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Optional to upload proof or declination.
Professional Requirements
- Valid, unexpired US driver’s license or state ID.
- Background check within 30 days of start including:
- SSN address trace report covering all counties lived/worked in last 7 years.
- National and county criminal searches.
- FACIS 3 check.
- Drug screen within 30 days of start; 9+ panel including amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, oxycodone, phencyclidine, methadone, methaqualone, propoxyphene, nitrites.
- Resume accounting for all employment and gaps for the last 7 years, including education history.
- Two professional references:
- One supervisor reference from employment within the last 12 months.
- One supervisor or peer reference from employment within the last 3 years.
- Employment verification of most recent employer.
- Signed and dated job description.
- Completion of skills checklist for assigned unit, updated annually.
- Completion of agency-required forms including personal information, code of conduct, confirmation of assignment, self-study packet and quiz, sexual harassment acknowledgement, and parking registration.
- Color headshot photo (straightforward, solid background, no filters or sunglasses).
