Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work primarily in the Emergency Department (ED), a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
- ED treats over 60,000 patients annually.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Shift options include 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Patient-facing clinical role.
- Facility uses Meditech EMR.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama.
- Certifications required:
- AHA ACLS (American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AHA BLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support)
- AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- SECURE (on site)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
Additional Information
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- This is not a remote position.
- Timesheet approver roles assigned (primary and backup).
