Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)
Location
- Georgetown, Texas
Contract Details
- Travel assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- No on-call required
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Unit Overview
- Emergency Department with 23 beds
- Staff includes approximately 40 team members
- Typical staffing (day shift): 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 5 RNs, 1 Paramedic, 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) (staffing varies with patient volume)
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Equipment: Welch Allyn, GE EMR (Meditech)
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required; specific attire guidelines apply
- Unit culture: Close-knit, supportive environment with strong provider collaboration and self-scheduling options
- Recognitions: Awarded Unit ICARE in 2023; Certified Primary Stroke Center; Level IV Trauma Center; 2023 Mission: Lifeline Systems of Care Recognition (AHA CAD performance)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Typical Procedures Performed
- Cardioversion
- Administration of TNK (Tenecteplase)
- Moderate sedation
