    Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

    Location: Eureka, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Description

    • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
    • Recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year

    Required Documents and Background Checks

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 verification)
    • E-Verify attestation
    • Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:
      • SSN Trace
      • Death Master Index
      • Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3
      • Education Verification
      • Motor Vehicle Record (if Home Health)
      • International Background Search (if applicable)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
    • Education Verification (3rd party) for all candidates
    • State-specific searches as required (e.g., Washington State Patrol Search)
    • References: Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
    • Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)

    Health and Safety Requirements

    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
    • Fit Mask test (annual), required for travel candidates; may be completed onsite if no valid record within 1 year
    • Immunizations and/or documentation:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer, with declination accepted
      • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer, with declination accepted
      • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
      • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to infection prevention measures
    • Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (does not require annual update)
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates; includes virtual questionnaire reviewed by healthcare professional

    Facility and Regional Requirements

    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
    • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
    • Completion of Epic training modules as applicable (for certain hospital systems)
    • Floating Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance
