Description

Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (floating and call required)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care
  • Occasional care of non-critical pediatric patients on the floor
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:6
  • Floating and call duties required; on-call only for census flex prior to shift if census is low
  • EMR system used: MedHost
  • Scrub color: Any color accepted
  • Blocked scheduling may be accommodated (must be specified in submission)
  • 48-hour guarantees are not approved

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • This is a night shift position with floating and call responsibilities
  • The role involves general med-surg nursing duties with some pediatric exposure (non-critical)
  • Candidates must be prepared for the fingerprinting process specific to New Mexico travelers
