Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Cartersville, Georgia

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
• Location: Cartersville, Georgia
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Block schedule requests: Not allowed
• Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • If 1 holiday falls, work it; if 2 holidays fall, work both; if 3 holidays fall, work 2 of them
• Orientation: Non-billable orientation hours based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
• RTO (Return to Office) Policy: Maximum 7 days to start after offer acceptance
• Locals accepted at same rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Policies

• Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; failure to comply results in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

Additional Notes

• Aya offers a 48-hour manager review period after candidate confirmation to ensure fit for unit, schedule, and expertise
• No clinical remediation allowed for competency exams, but WorkRamp remediation is permitted before final attempt
• Candidates unable to pass Dysrhythmia/EKG exam after 3 attempts will be cancelled
• Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by contract length
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
