Description

Location
- Portland, Maine
Position Type

- Contract length: 26 weeks
Specialty
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Operating Room (ORT)
- Neurosurgery experience required
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience scrubbing neuro cases
- Level I trauma center experience required
- Competency with:
- Stryker instruments
- Airo CT navigation
- O-arm navigation
- Complex spine deformity cases
- Brain surgery including MVM and brain aneurysm
Call Requirements
- Neuro call expected between 50-150 hours during an 8-week block
- One overnight trauma call per week (11pm-7am)
- Call scheduling follows specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Preferred weekly hours: 48 (minimum acceptable: 36)
- Weekend hours: 36 per 8-week period, typically 1:4 weekends on 12-hour shifts

- Operating Room with 26 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot
- Electronic Medical Record system: Epic

- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Minimum 3 years of surgical technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Competence with Stryker instruments
- Experience with Airo CT navigation
- Experience with O-arm navigation
- Robotic surgical experience
