• May float to other Med Surg/Telemetry units or low acuity ICU

Schedule

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred (not required)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year or clear chest X-ray if prior positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• N95 fit test within 1 year (no PAPR allowed; failure to pass results in contract cancellation)
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Required vaccinations or immunity documentation:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella (boosters if low/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B titer or series (booster if low/equivocal)
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer (booster if low/equivocal)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (11/1 - 3/31); no declinations or exemptions accepted
  • COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption prior to start

Background and Compliance

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• E-Verify/I9 documentation required
• EPIC test-out required (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation). Facility allows starting with EPIC pending but must complete onsite.

• Medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams required as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required

This position offers a focused opportunity for experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RNs with recent Epic experience and required certifications, working night shifts on a travel contract basis in Tennessee.
