CVOR Tech - Surgical Services
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Call Requirement: 90-120 hours of call over a 6-week schedule
- First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 Trauma experience
- Specialty focus includes Level 1 Trauma Center, Vascular, Thoracic surgery cases
- Key surgical procedures involved:
- Receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing for cannulation
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Atherectomy
- Atrial Septal Defect Repair
- Cardiomyoplasty
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
- Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery
- Mitral Valve Replacement
- Pericardial Window
- Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
- Heart & Lung Transplant
- Valve Replacement
- Aortic Dissection
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
Additional Important Information
- Indiana RNs are restricted from starting new contracts after 9/9/2024 unless working in Perioperative/OR, Allied, or Ambulatory RN roles (these are exempt and may work past 11/30/2024)
- Required facility-specific documents and compliance forms must be completed prior to start
- Orientation includes mandatory safety and policy acknowledgments
- On-site fit testing available only as a last resort and with prior approval
- Candidates must provide clear copies of valid driver’s license or passport
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for a CVOR Tech with a strong surgical services background, especially in trauma and complex vascular/thoracic procedures. The role requires day shifts with significant call hours and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Multiple certifications, immunizations, and background checks are mandatory. First-time travelers are welcome if they have trauma experience.
