Description
Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
- Work at two locations approximately 10 miles apart (about 15 minutes driving)
- Block scheduling accommodations available
- No weekend shifts required
- No on-call duties
- Locals within 100-mile radius not accepted
- Pending license accepted
- Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: ideally no more than 5 days onsite per week

Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Minnesota (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapeutic) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Must be able to float within scope to cover two facility locations
Equipment & Technology Used
- 4 Varian True Beams (2 with EDGE packages, 2 without)
- 2 GE CT SIMulators
- Align/Vision RT system
- Cone Beam CT (CBCT), Triggered Imaging
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check required within 1 year of start date (7-year standard MN statewide search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 1 year of start
- MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance mandatory before start; candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless a “more time needed” letter is provided
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start required
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Adult Tdap (no declinations accepted without approved exemption)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (TB results must be on file no later than 3 days after start)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer required (no exemptions accepted)
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, proof of series, or signed declination required
- Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required (no exemptions accepted)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination documentation required for 2025-26 season (declinations accepted)
- OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance required prior to start (RespSafety virtual questionnaire)
- Drug testing not required for client clearance but must be within 1 year if completed
Orientation & Training
- Completion of facility-specific online preorientation modules required within 72 hours of receiving login; modules take 3-9 hours depending on specialty
- Modules must be completed before clearance to start
- Skills checklist and medication/pharmacology competency exams required annually
Additional Notes
- Photo for badge must be passport style, forward facing, shoulders up, on plain background, submitted within 48 hours of signing contract
- Candidate must be able to travel between two sites during the shift
- Guaranteed hours subject to client cancellation policy (client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty)
This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with at least 1 year of experience who are comfortable working at multiple locations and meeting strict licensure and compliance requirements in Minnesota.
