Description
Radiation Therapist Travel Position
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (Monday through Friday, day shifts)
Unit Overview
- Radiation Oncology unit with 490 beds
- Staffing includes 4 Radiation Therapists and 2 Radiation Oncology RNs
- Equipment used: Truebeam and iX linear accelerators
- Documentation systems: Mosaiq and Meditech
- Procedures performed:
- VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
- 3D treatments
- SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
- SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
- Emergency treatments such as SVC syndrome, heterotopic bone, whole brain treatment, and spinal cord compression
- Certifications held by the facility: The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
- Dress code: Grey or charcoal grey scrubs required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (T) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
