Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job in Pennsylvania

Location

  • York, Pennsylvania

Job Type

  • Travel/Contract assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
  • No weekends, holidays, or call requirements
  • No floating

Specialty & Experience

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Radiation Therapy)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • True Beams experience required
  • EPIC experience required

Required Certifications & Education

  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program

Required Licenses

  • Valid license appropriate for Radiation Therapist discipline

    • 7-year criminal background check
    • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
    • HHS/OIG check
    • PA FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (must be completed within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
  • Education verification (highest level)
  • Professional references: 2 within last 3 years
  • Most recent resume or employment application
  • Annual skills checklist

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season (declinations not accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
  • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (required by agency, not facility)

Competency & Training Requirements

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health (note: may not apply directly to Radiation Therapist but included in facility requirements)
  • Completion of facility-specific learning modules and new hire orientation (must be completed on PC/laptop prior to start)
  • Photo for badge: professional, passport-style headshot with light background
